One of the top questions I’m asked is, “What is the best niche for me to go into?”
A similar one is, “I’m in a niche and I don’t like it. What niche should I choose instead?”
What I believe is hidden in these questions is “give me the easy way to riches.”
What I’ve found over my 2 decade career is that every B2B “niche” has the potential to support a multi seven figure digital marketing agency.
So if that’s what you’re looking for and who you target doesn’t matter to you, then put a 100 niches in a hat and pick one.
But if you’re looking to enjoy your journey then you should pick an industry that you wish to spend the next decade or more growing in.
Let me address niches for a hot second…
Niches are okay to get started in, but you have to see them as a stepping stone into a larger industry if you are to build an agency. If you want to be a freelancer or solopreneur, then you could stay in a small niche and make a good income your entire career.
But for agencies to thrive they need to be in a growing industry.
